Professional training for Behavioral Specialists, Classroom Aides, Teacher Assistants, Classroom Teachers, Child and Youth Practitioners, both in residential or day-program settings. This includes those working in teams or individually.

 

To create positive learning environments, training instills a safe student culture, which is a key skill for these professionals. Administrators, teachers, and other youth workers have major responsibilities and goals to achieve every day. These classroom/program support staff play a critical role for successful outcomes. Positive student behaviors have high correlation to positive learning outcomes.

Classroom specialists need the resources and skills to maintain

a nurturing and structured learning environment. They are the

primary support system for the classroom teacher. When high

levels of ADHD inflict the classroom where do we turn to? They

will respond to all the classroom crises and demanding situations

and need to be well prepared.


Purpose:


Behavioral specialist staff play a critical role in the day-to-day function

of classrooms needing these resources. When one percent of class-

room students may need ninety-nine percent of adult time, it is

critical that these student issues receive effective interventions.
